[Video] Ryte Eye Ty 'Where Have The Heroes Gone'
A monolithic piano melody comes sweeping out of the silence with the force of a mighty winter wind, and in its wake, the delicate lead vocal of Mr. Ryte EyE Ty starts to fill the air with an aching that is perhaps even more powerful than any of the words he will sing in the next four minutes of play are.
There’s a burden on Ty’s back here, and it isn’t going to go away without a fight; in “Where Have the Heroes Gone,” his latest single, he’ll use any and every tool at his disposal to break away from the pain in the name of connecting with something affectionate and steeped in pure love. His voice is the beacon, his music the bitter darkness that surrounds it, and while there are plenty of ways that one could interpret this song both lyrically and instrumentally, to me, it comes off as being an enigmatic statement piece in an age that has been missing the strain of artistic clarity it offers to us so humbly. “Where Have the Heroes Gone” is a black-and-white pop song, but the substance of its melodies is not status quo at all.
From a lyrical standpoint, Ty isn’t doing much of anything that would qualify as being virtuosic in this song – contrarily, I get the vibe that he’s deliberately trying to stay away from the kind of theatrics so many of his closest rivals in and outside of the adult contemporary scene would just as soon employ in their own work.
He’s got too much to convey to simply hide behind a sophisticated sonic display; right from the get-go in “Where Have the Heroes Gone,” Ty is tethering his vocal to the fabric of the piano’s instrumental chime, which despite being formulaic in the conventional sense is anything but predictable given the context of the music on this occasion. It would be one thing if he were a household name; in this case, he’s merely using a familiar construction to get us acclimated to the more specifically unique components in his sound. It’s a smart way of making a breakthrough single, which this could become if given the right opportunities to shine somewhere on the FM dial (college radio, perhaps?).
If what I’m hearing in “Where Have the Heroes Gone” is on par with what I can expect to find out of the output we get from Ryte EyE Ty’s camp in the future, he’s going to be a player that I would tell any legit indie audiophile to pay attention to this year. Right now, American pop music has reached a crossroads in 2022, and in the time that it would’ve taken an artist to become a genuine figure in any scene around the country c. 2000-2010, the genre itself will be reshaped by independent voices like Ty’s.

BGC MELODY – When Lions Roar (World Cup Soccer Song)
African independent record label BGC Melody (#BGCMelody) has launched the first FIFA World Cup 2022 (#fifaworldcup2022) anthem. This should be the official song for the Indomitable Lions - the national soccer team of Cameroon for Qatar 2022 in November (#Qatar2022).
The track "WHEN LIONS ROAR" is a sweet and savvy blend of #Amapiano, #Afrobeats and #Makossa with a dash of spiritual spices. Delivered by the BGC Ensemble of Artists Bah'Ndong, Cindy Mbamdo, Mobe Molondo, Pope Switzeal, Thisis Mokom and Ziiana, and special guest Vernsai Sany. Masterfully produced by Marc Eff of Kovapot Beats on beats composed by HarryBeatz under the creative direction of Don Julio Bats. This will be a soccer anthem for the ages. Football has a new hymn.
The single is followed by an album of eleven tracks scheduled for a 15 November release. BGC Melody assembled its Artists and friends, together as one musical group, to release a collective tribute album for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, in view of their participation at the FIFA world Cup 2022 in Qatar. The main song, “When Lions Roar”, is also the title of the album of 11 tracks – symbolizing the 11 players of a soccer/football team. Some of the tracks are musical dedications to Cameroon’s football giants like Roger Milla, Thomas N’Kono, Samuel Eto’o, Song Rigobert. etc.
One EDM instrumental track is dedicated to “Abakwa”, or Bamenda, the capital of the Northwest Region of Cameroon, for its contribution over several decades to the rise and growth of football in Cameroon, even during the roughest moments of turmoil. The album is a mix of song, rap and EDM, built of on a foundation of Afrobeats, Amapiano and Makossa fusion.

Bianca always knew music was her calling, at a very young age she started honing her skills by singing in her local church’s choir. Isiah Palmer "Adios" Single
Isiah Palmer, songwriter, vocalist, producer, performer, is an unsigned artist powering forward steadily through the music business blazing his own trail and on his own terms. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Palmer has traveled frequently to Chicago, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, and many more destinations since graduating from college in 2020 while pursuing his dream. He has excited music lovers and aficionados, making new fans everywhere he goes by featuring his formidable and commanding myriad creative talents. In his never-ending desire to raise the bar ever higher every time he writes and completes a song, Palmer is respected, valued, and appreciated by his peers as a consummate professional who has a sincere love of his profession and a complete dedication to and passion for his craft.
Palmer was raised in a musical family, his father played piano and his mother played trumpet. He recalls, “my dad used to play the keyboard in my grandpa’s church. I would sit on his lap as a kid and he would play by ear. I started doing musicals in the church and also acted with a local civic theater company. Singing and acting became my passion at a young age.
Palmer has befallen tragedy in his life, but has conquered it at every turn; developing a constitution to carry-on, move forward, to overcome, to succeed! From his basketball career ending injury, to losing a rapper friend tragically killed, to experiencing his father lose his sight and to a mentor/dear friend losing his life to Covid. Remarkable difficulties each but music truly seems to be the constant. Palmer states, “when my friend was killed, I turned to music. It made me want to learn how to actually do music. So, I went out and bought a mic. At the same time, my dad lost his sight, I turned to music. My dad and I would talk on the phone constantly and he taught me how to make songs. Lastly, I was blessed to have grown up around hitmaking producer Chucky Thompson. He was my dear friend and mentor whom I worked closely with. His tremendous influence on my music can be felt to this day. His death from Covid was super hard on me, and I took it personal to be the best artist I can be. Again, music was the only thing that could get me through the dark times.”
More musical influences? Palmer spills, “Chucky Thompson I have already mentioned. Ok, my biggest musical influences would have to also include My Chemical Romance as they were the first CD I ever received; Wiz Khalifa due to his military background; and Kanye West because he is a different artist making generational music.”
In his quest to succeed, Palmer’s showcased creativity has led to many an open door catching the attention of industry tastemakers, gatekeepers, and movers and shakers. Along his musical journey, Palmer met Blaq Tuxedo (Doja Cat, Chris Brown, Paloma Ford, Eric Bellinger, Omarion, Ariana Grande), the influential production team comprised of brothers Dominique and Darius Logan who hit #1 on Billboard’s R&B Producers Chart (for week of February 6, 2021) as Producers of “Streets” with Doja Cat(on which they were also co-writers) and Ronald Ferebee, Jr. aka “Yonni” (Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Tamar Braxton, Missy Elliott, Fergie, Mya), a record producer and songwriter most known for producing Trey Songz; hit single “Say Aah”. Blaq Tuxedo and Yonni are combining forces with Palmer on his new single release entitled, “Adios”, which Palmer explains is really a song about “getting lit to the fullest and not caring what people think. It is that party record I always dreamed of combining all of my influences while including experiences from college.”

The ultimate soul crooner, Oakland, California native Lenny Williams possesses one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. With his rich, passionate vocal style, he is rightfully regarded as one of R & B’s most influential soul men. Williams began his musical career making records that have subsequently become R & B and Pop classics, tunes like the mega-hit “Cause I Love You” (recorded on his solo album) and “So Very Hard To Go,” which he recorded as the lead singer for Tower of Power. Lenny Williams' style has transcended into the new millennium, influencing many of today’s newest R & B and Pop vocalists.
Lenny himself sounds better than ever as he continues to keep the focus on love. “Love is what has gotten me through all of these years. I look for love and I surround myself with it,” Lenny says. When it comes to singing love songs, one must “go there to know there,” and Lenny never left. He is able to take the listener to the heart of love with such soulful aplomb because love will never go out of style and no one does it better. Then...Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Lenny moved to Oakland at a very young age. Learning to play the trumpet in elementary school fueled his interest in music. Lenny’s skills as a vocalist were first nurtured by singing in gospel choirs and groups around the Bay Area, where he was in good company, working alongside up-and-coming artist Sly Stone, Andre Crouch, Billy Preston and members of the Hawkins family--Edwin, Walter and Tramaine. After winning several local talent contests, Williams signed his first record deal with Fantasy Records. He cut two singles for the label, including “Lisa’s Gone,” now regarded as an R & B classic among British soul music lovers, and “Feelin Blue,” written by John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Lenny then spent a brief time with Atlantic Records, before deciding to put his solo career on hold in 1972, when he joined the emerging funk band Tower of Power. A string of hits ensued, including “So Very Hard To Go,” and “Don’t Change Horses (In The Middle of The Stream),” written by Lenny Williams and Johnny “Guitar” Watson. During his two years with the group, Lenny participated in three milestone albums, the Gold LP Tower Of Power, Back To Oakland, and Urban Renewal, while touring non-stop throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. At the end of 1975, Lenny returned to his solo projects. Initially signing with Motown in 1972, he later moved to ABC Records in 1977 (which was then purchased by MCA Records in 1979). Over the next four years, Lenny scored ten charted hits, including “Shoo Doo Fu Fu Ooh,”, “Choosing You,” “You Got Me Running,” “Love Hurt Me Love Healed Me,” and “Midnight Girl.” Lenny recorded four more albums from 1977 to 1980-- Choosing You, his first gold LP, Spark of Love, Love Current, and Let’s Do It Today. These albums established a solid and loyal following for Lenny, and the impact of his music can still be felt, particularly the mega-hit “Cause I Love You”, from Spark Of Love. This song crosses generational boundaries, and has frequently been used on “old school” and “slow jam” compilations throughout the years. In 2004 and 2005, Lenny and Kanye West were honored recipients of the BMI Songwriters Award for the song “Over Night Celebrity,” recorded by rapper Twista. In the Summer of 2018, Lenny's smooth tones were on display in the song “I Love My Momma,” a collaboration with superstar rapper Snoop Dogg, featured on the popular HBO miniseries Sharp Objects. Over the years, he has shared stages with Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, K-Jon, Anthony Hamilton, The Whispers, Rick James, Boney James, Bobby Womack, The Ohio Players, Al Green, Usher and Frankie Beverly and Maze. Lenny has also expanded his multi dimensional career to include acting, starring in several popular stage plays. As an icon of the past and the present, Lenny Williams continues to expand his musical prowess and flex his newly found acting skills. He is sure to continue wowing his fans in the United States and beyond for decades to come. The ultimate soul crooner, Oakland, California native Lenny Williams possesses one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. With his rich, passionate vocal style, he is rightfully regarded as one of R & B’s most influential soul men. Williams began his musical career making records that have subsequently become R & B and Pop classics, tunes like the mega-hit “Cause I Love You” (recorded on his solo album) and “So Very Hard To Go,” which he recorded as the lead singer for Tower of Power. Lenny Williams' style has transcended into the new millennium, influencing many of today’s newest R & B and Pop vocalists.
Lenny himself sounds better than ever as he continues to keep the focus on love. “Love is what has gotten me through all of these years. I look for love and I surround myself with it,” Lenny says. When it comes to singing love songs, one must “go there to know there,” and Lenny never left. He is able to take the listener to the heart of love with such soulful aplomb because love will never go out of style and no one does it better. Then...Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Lenny moved to Oakland at a very young age. Learning to play the trumpet in elementary school fueled his interest in music. Lenny’s skills as a vocalist were first nurtured by singing in gospel choirs and groups around the Bay Area, where he was in good company, working alongside up-and-coming artist Sly Stone, Andre Crouch, Billy Preston and members of the Hawkins family--Edwin, Walter and Tramaine. After winning several local talent contests, Williams signed his first record deal with Fantasy Records. He cut two singles for the label, including “Lisa’s Gone,” now regarded as an R & B classic among British soul music lovers, and “Feelin Blue,” written by John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Lenny then spent a brief time with Atlantic Records, before deciding to put his solo career on hold in 1972, when he joined the emerging funk band Tower of Power. A string of hits ensued, including “So Very Hard To Go,” and “Don’t Change Horses (In The Middle of The Stream),” written by Lenny Williams and Johnny “Guitar” Watson. During his two years with the group, Lenny participated in three milestone albums, the Gold LP Tower Of Power, Back To Oakland, and Urban Renewal, while touring non-stop throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. At the end of 1975, Lenny returned to his solo projects. Initially signing with Motown in 1972, he later moved to ABC Records in 1977 (which was then purchased by MCA Records in 1979). Over the next four years, Lenny scored ten charted hits, including “Shoo Doo Fu Fu Ooh,”, “Choosing You,” “You Got Me Running,” “Love Hurt Me Love Healed Me,” and “Midnight Girl.” Lenny recorded four more albums from 1977 to 1980-- Choosing You, his first gold LP, Spark of Love, Love Current, and Let’s Do It Today. These albums established a solid and loyal following for Lenny, and the impact of his music can still be felt, particularly the mega-hit “Cause I Love You”, from Spark Of Love. This song crosses generational boundaries, and has frequently been used on “old school” and “slow jam” compilations throughout the years.
